Wholesale Fulfillment Associate

Claussen's Florist, Greenhouse & Perennial Farm is looking for friendly, and hard-working individuals to join our fast-paced Wholesale Department. A unique aspect of the horticulture industry is working directly with and providing our local florists, garden centers, landscapers, interiors capers and hardware stores with Claussen’s products.

We are looking for individuals to assist our wholesale department in all areas including, but not limited to:
  • Fulfillment: Pulling/loading of plant material
  • Customer Contact and communications
  • Customer invoicing

​Looking for an engaging, and active job, while getting your hands dirty? Join our Wholesale Department assisting with pulling and managing multiple daily plant orders (accuracy in counting and organizational skills is required), customer interaction and QuickBooks invoicing. Ability to work both independently and as a team is a must.

​Start date: Immediately
All candidates must have:
  • At least 4 years of knowledge and experience in the horticultural industry
  • Excellent work ethic
  • Ability to work in adverse greenhouse conditions with fluctuating hot and cold temperatures.
  • Lift at least 35+ pounds consistently.
  • Basic knowledge of common plant varieties.
  • Quick in their ability to select specific plants.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3+ year of knowledge and experience in the horticulture industry.
  • Plant Identification of seasonal Crops (such as annuals, chrysanthemums, perennials, poinsettias & vegetables), as well as Houseplants is required!
  • Great work ethics and willingness to learn and cross train.

All candidates must have:
  • Ability to work in adverse greenhouse conditions, with hot and cold temperatures (inside & outside)
  • Ability to lift up to 30 - 50lbs. consistently
  • Ability to load plant orders and unload plant orders from trucks. Candidates must have flexible evening hours to make sure all orders are completely loaded for the next days deliveries prior to shift ending. 
  • Ability to work on a Saturday and/or Sunday (based upon current need).
 
Job Type: seasonal Full- Time (40+ hours) Monday – Friday * see below for exceptions
  • Daily Shift of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • During our Peak Seasons (Easter, May, June, November & December) you will be required to work Sunday through Friday if needed. No Exceptions. 
  • During these peak seasons you may be required to stay later than normal 5:00pm shift end to complete the next days orders and load trucks. 

Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00 per hour
*Hourly wages will vary based on previous work and educational experience.
