Claussen's Wholesale Account Application
A qualified wholesale commercial customer is a registered business (Garden Center, Florist, Farm Stand or Landscape Contractors) purchasing wholesale plants to RESELL in a retail/contractor environment.
Required Application Forms:
Complete and submit the following forms below to Teri Lamphere ([email protected]), along with your required State's Sales Tax-Exemption form from below for VT, NH or NY.

- Vermont Sales Tax-Exemption form (see details below for form based on your state requirements).
Please note that a valid signature is required on all documents, we will not accept a 'typed' signature.
Sales Tax-Exempt Forms:
A current sales tax-exempt form must be completed for all eligible VT and NY retailers. All purchases will be considered as sales taxable unless an accurately completed form is provided with your application

- VT Form S-3 for sales tax exemption for resale
- VT Form S-3C for Landscape Contractors providing a service for customers with legal sales tax exemption
NH Customers:
- No Sales Tax Forms are needed for orders delivered within the State of New Hampshire.
- Please note that a 7% sales tax charge is due and payable for all orders that are picked up at our Colchester, VT location as per State of VT law.
- For sales tax exemption on purchases made within Vermont, you must register your business with the State of VT Department of Taxes whom will provide you with a Sales & Use Tax (SUT) number. This number is needed for the VT Form S-3 which must be completed in full including authorized signature, current date and provided at time of purchase.
NY Customers:
- Form ST 120 for sales tax exemption for resale
- Form 120.1 for Landscapers providing a service for customers with legal sales tax exemption

Please read the following terms to determine if your business is eligible as a wholesale account
All plant purchases must be resold by an authorized Retailer or Landscape Contractor to be eligible as a wholesale account with wholesale pricing.

- Claussen's Enterprise only wholesales plants. All other product is subject to applicable sales tax
- Qualifying businesses include Garden centers, Florists, Landscaper Contractors, Farm stands, and Interiorscapers.
- Wholesale pricing is not available to resorts, hotels or businesses that are not directly reselling our plant material to customers in a retail establishment.
- Businesses looking to purchase our plants and merchandise to decorate their offices or to landscape their grounds should email Teri Lamphere [email protected] or call her at (802) 878-2361. She will assist you in completing the proper Business Account Paperwork (not a wholesale account).
- All customers must set up an account prior to receiving our wholesale pricing.
- All new customers are COD for the first 6 months and a minimum of 8 orders. Only businesses operating year round will be considered for credit terms and should contact Teri if interested.
- Seasonal landscape contractors and Farm Stand businesses will remain COD throughout each season.
- Your initial first order must be a minimum of $600.00
- To maintain wholesale pricing, a minimum of $1,200.00 in plant purchases is required annually.
- All forms are PDF and must be typed in full. Open the document, then click on the 'fill & sign' tab to get started.
- Your signature must be digitally or manually hand-signed (not typed).
- Please allow a minimum of 7 business days to process paperwork. If approved, you will be notified via email with additional information.
- Payment options are cash, check, debit/credit card (MC, Visa, Discover or AMEX), money order or bank check.
- Please note that there is a 3% fee for all debit/credit card transactions.
- Payment is expected at time of delivery/pick up unless you have pre-approved credit terms.
- Claussen Gift Cards cannot be used as payment towards balances on wholesale/charge accounts.
- All Claussen 'In-store' sales/specials & coupons apply towards retail sales and must be paid directly through our garden centers & sales taxable. They cannot be charged on wholesale accounts.
- Specific Wholesale Sales can be charged to accounts.
- Claussen's reserves the right to close any account at any time if terms or policies are violated.
- It is your responsibility to contact our business office directly if your business is sold or closed.
- New owners of established businesses that are keeping the same business name must contact our business office to set up a new account prior to first order.
