Claussen’s Florist, Greenhouse & Perennial Farm is looking for full-time seasonal greenhouse customer service associates. We are looking for friendly, and hard-working individuals to join our team at our Annual & Vegetable Greenhouses. This position assists in all aspects of Greenhouse Customer Service/Sales, Maintenance and Care of plants.
We are looking for candidates that have energetic, strong workmanship skills and a positive attitude with interest in seasonal crops to join us inside the greenhouses and assisting customers. All candidates must be willing to assist customers during the plant purchases. POSITION IS CLOSED |

Job Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Daily work schedule alternating schedule between 8:00am – 5:00pm or 9:00am – 6:00pm. All candidates MUST be available to work at least one weekend day, no exceptions!
Position: Full-Time Seasonal (5+ days a week) position runs April through July or August, based on current needs.
Pay Rate: Starting at $19.00 / hour
Hourly wages will vary based on previous work experience and educational experience.
Benefits:
- Greenhouse Associates are expected to grow within their position to acquire and retain knowledge of plant material, their case, use within the landscape.
- Customer Service (75% of this position); assist customers choose and select plants based on their location & care needs.
- This position involves all aspects of plant maintenance and production including but not limited to:
- Transplanting, pruning/cutting back, relocating, organizing, and watering crops.
- Assisting customers’ load carts & cars.
- Assist in restocking our retail greenhouses from our growing greenhouses.
- Accept responsibility for all work performed and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
- Ability and willingness to be cross trained in multiple areas of the business to accommodate seasonal demands.
- This is a very physical and non-stop job that requires adaptability to extreme fluctuating temperatures (indoor and outdoor).
Qualifications:
- Annuals, & Vegetable plant knowledge is required.
- Minimum of 1+ year of horticulture experience
- Minimum of 1+ year of retail sales & customer service experience
- Knowledge of plant varieties, basic care, identifying quality issues, diseases, and pests.
- Ability to lift up to 35+ lbs.
- Available to work in the evenings and at a minimum one weekend day is a must.
- This is a fast-paced, very physically job that requires
- The ability to stand and work on your feet all day
- Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs.
- Adaptability to extreme fluctuating temperatures (both indoors and outdoors)
