Commercial Driver position- FILLED

Claussen's Florist, Greenhouse & Perennial Farm is looking for a Seasonal experienced Delivery Driver to join our wholesale division during the upcoming Spring Season (​April, May & June).
Applicants must be reliable, punctual and have a positive attitude.

Position: Seasonal  (4-5 days a week)
Starting: 
*Hourly wages will vary based on with work experience. 

Job Description:

• Delivering plant material throughout Vermont, Western NH and eastern NY.
• Loading and unloading plant material for customers orders.
• Courteously interact with customer and act and drive in a professional manner at all times.
• Maintaining the truck in a clean and orderly condition.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of shift and report any problems or damage to management.
• Comply with all DOT and in-house rules and regulations.
• Random drug testing.
  
• Completing paperwork timely and accurately.
• Performs other job-related duties assigned.
• Working independently and with a team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ year of commercial driving experience.
• Experience & comfortable operating a box truck.
• Carry a current drivers medical card.
• Driver has a clean record.
• A safe drivers record and clean license.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• This is a season position, from April 2024 - June 2024 (with the possibility to continue longer)
• Great work ethics, willingness to learn.

This position involves a very fast pace, multi-stop route, that require:

• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs.
• Ability to load and unload plant material from a box truck (steps required)
• Availability must be flexible and includes evenings and a weekend day if needed.

Position: Seasonal (40+- hours / week) - April, May & June (with the possibility to continue longer)
Compensation: Hourly, based on previous work experience. Please inquire.
